Are you an experienced immigration paralegal, a recently registered migration agent, or looking to develop your expertise in Australian immigration law? Join Avant Law’s Brisbane team and contribute to the growth of our immigration law practice.

Working alongside two immigration lawyers, you’ll provide case management support throughout the visa application process, with opportunities to develop your skills and contribute to new initiatives within a collaborative and supportive team.

About the Role

You’ll play an important role in supporting our immigration lawyers and delivering high-quality service to Avant clients. At Avant Law, we value professional development, collaboration and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate document collation and review to support accurate, compliant visa applications.
- Respond to client enquiries, follow up on outstanding information and provide case updates.
- Prepare draft applications in Immi Account and lodge applications under supervision.
- Monitor Department of Home Affairs correspondence and track application milestones, deadlines and visa expiry dates.
- Prepare case management reports and maintain accurate client records.
- Support the team with complex matters as your experience develops.

About You You’re organised, analytical and detail-oriented, with a genuine interest in immigration law and delivering excellent client service.





You’ll ideally bring

- Experience in immigration law, particularly employer-sponsored skilled migration.
- A strong understanding of Australian migration processes.
- Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and contribute to a growing team.

Formal qualifications are not essential where relevant experience can be demonstrated. Completion of, or plans to undertake, the Graduate Diploma of Australian Migration Law and Practice will be considered. This opportunity suits an experienced paralegal, a recently registered migration agent or someone looking to build their expertise in immigration law.
