Blake Oliver Consulting is working with one of Australia’s leading wealth platforms, part of a major banking group, to appoint a Senior Business Analyst into its Transformation team.
This role is about product policy and regulatory change. You’ll work out how changes to product policy and regulation affect new and existing superannuation and investment products, then turn that into clear requirements and practical solutions. You’ll work closely with product, operations, risk, compliance and solution architecture.
It’s a busy time in wealth. Payday Super, Division 296, retirement income products and ongoing platform simplification are all in play, so the work is substantial and the outcomes matter to advisers and their clients.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements for product policy and regulatory change across super and investment products
- Interpret legislation, regulatory guidance and product policy, and turn them into clear business rules, requirements and user stories
- Carry out impact assessments across products, processes, systems, data, disclosure and operations
- Map current and future-state processes and identify ways to improve how the business operates
- Work with solution architects and technology teams to design compliant, practical solutions
- Plan and run workshops with product,
operations, risk, legal and technology stakeholders
- Carry out root cause analysis and interpret data to support decisions
- Manage risks, issues and dependencies within an Agile delivery environment (JIRA, Confluence)
Skills & Experience
- Solid Business Analysis experience in wealth management or financial services
- Hands-on experience with both superannuation and investment products
- A track record of taking regulatory or product policy change from interpretation through to implementation
- Confidence running workshops and working with senior business and technology stakeholders
- Experience on a wrap or investment platform, or with retirement income products, is highly regarded
- Familiarity with recent reform such as Payday Super, Division 296, DDO, RG 97 or successor fund transfers is a plus
Why Apply?
This is a two-year engagement with real scope, at a time when the business is reshaping its products and its platform. You’ll be working on change that directly affects advisers and their clients, with the backing of one of Australia’s most established financial services groups and a hybrid working model.
