Phoenix Source & Select is seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters to join an established engineering maintenance company onsite in Smithfield, NSW.
This is a hands-on maintenance role suited to trade-qualified Fitters with strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience carrying out breakdown repairs in busy industrial or manufacturing environments.
You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, responding to equipment breakdowns and helping keep the plant running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Responding to machinery breakdowns and completing mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling industrial machinery
- Servicing, repairing and rebuilding pumps
- Maintenance and repairs involving rollers, boilers and associated equipment
- Replacing worn or damaged mechanical components
- Conducting preventative maintenance and machinery inspections
- Working alongside other maintenance trades to minimise production downtime
- Following site safety procedures within an operational manufacturing facility
What We're Looking For
- Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Proven industrial breakdown maintenance experience
- Solid mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience servicing, repairing and rebuilding pumps
- Previous experience with boilers, rollers and industrial production equipment
- Background in manufacturing, fixed-plant or heavy industrial maintenance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- High Risk Work Licences are highly regarded
- Reliable, safety-conscious and available for an immediate start
Experience in paper mills, packaging, food manufacturing, recycling, steel production or other industrial processing facilities would be highly regarded.
