We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join a major application modernisation and cloud transformation initiative. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced software engineer who enjoys mentoring developers, solving complex technical challenges, and driving the delivery of modern, secure, cloud-based solutions.

Working as part of a collaborative delivery team, you will provide day-to-day technical leadership while remaining actively involved in software development. You will play a key role in modernising legacy applications, uplifting engineering practices, and supporting the transition of enterprise systems to a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess existing applications and define practical modernisation and migration approaches.
- Design, build and maintain modern full-stack applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Refactor and enhance legacy applications to improve maintainability, security and scalability.
- Develop and support APIs, web applications and backend services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration and deployment issues.
- Contribute to security remediation, technical debt reduction and platform uplift initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching and support to development team members.
- Conduct code reviews and promote high standards of quality, maintainability and security.
- Facilitate technical decision-making and guide teams towards pragmatic, supportable solutions.
- Work closely with architects to translate solution designs into practical implementation outcomes.
- Collaborate with project and delivery stakeholders to identify risks,



dependencies and technical constraints.
- Champion up-to-date engineering practices, automation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- NV1 Security Clearance as a minimum
- Extensive experience developing applications using C# .NET and ASP.NET Core.
- Experience delivering modern web applications using Angular and/or React.
- Strong SQL Server development, optimisation and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience building and deploying applications within Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience providing technical leadership within agile delivery teams.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and solution design capability.
- Experience working on application modernisation, cloud migration or transformation programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach to technical problem solving.
