Role Overview

ASD is seeking experienced Wintel Infrastructure Engineers to support the implementation, management and security uplift of enterprise infrastructure supporting critical digital services.

The role has a strong cyber security focus and will involve implementing security controls, developing operational and security procedures, supporting design and remediation activities, and prototyping security configurations across enterprise Wintel environments.

Key Responsibilities The Successful Candidate Will

- Implement and manage infrastructure across secure enterprise environments.
- Implement security controls to improve system security posture.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for security and system administration activities.
- Participate in technical workshops covering system design and remediation.
- Prototype and assess security configurations.
- Support remediation of identified cyber security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Automate system administration and security activities through scripting or application development.
- Contribute to secure,



reliable and maintainable infrastructure services.

Essential Experience And Capabilities

Candidates must demonstrate

- At least 5 years of technical cyber security experience.
- Strong experience working with enterprise systems in a security-focused environment.
- Experience implementing one or more of the Essential Eight Mitigation Strategies.
- Experience with scripting or application development to:
- Automate system administration tasks.
- Support vulnerability assessment.
- Assess or remediate cyber security risks.

- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure and Windows-based environments.
- Ability to work effectively within secure and operationally sensitive ICT environments.

Desirable Experience The Following Would Be Highly Regarded

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience identifying and remediating Active Directory security compromises.
- Enterprise vulnerability management and security remediation experience.
- Experience securing Windows Server and related Microsoft infrastructure technologies.

Candidate Profile This opportunity would suit an experienced Wintel Engineer, Windows Infrastructure Engineer, Windows Systems Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer or Cyber Infrastructure Engineer with a solid background in securing Microsoft enterprise environments. The strongest candidates will combine hands-on Windows infrastructure administration with experience across Essential Eight, security hardening, scripting/automation, vulnerability remediation and Active Directory security.
