With revenues in the billions and operations in 40 countries, this global leader services a broad range of FMCG, food, beverage, and industrial customers and is recognised for its strong manufacturing capability, customer-centric innovation, and commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability. The company operates in an asset-intensive, safety-critical manufacturing environment, where health, safety, and wellbeing are core values and the goal is straightforward: everyone goes home safe every day.

The HSE Manager is a hands-on leadership role with a seat on the executive team. Reporting to the GM – Pacific, you will lead health, safety, and wellbeing across the ANZ business — and you will do it from the floor, not from behind a desk. You will be visible and present with operators, team leaders, and managers, leading the business's six Life Saving Rules, strengthening critical risk controls, and leading incident investigations that drive real change. You will also champion the Wellbeing & Belonging agenda, building an inclusive, supportive, and no-blame culture, and present safety performance to the executive team and senior group executives. This is not a policy-writing role. Success will be measured by what changes on the floor.

The successful candidate will be a credible, practical HSE leader with a proven track record of lifting safety, wellbeing, and culture in manufacturing or operational environments — ideally packaging, food & beverage, FMCG, or industrial operations. You will bring genuine industrial safety knowledge,

from isolation and lockout/tagout to machine guarding, risk assessments, and investigations, and you will coach rather than tell: doing it together first, then coaching and observing. You will have the maturity to hold your own at the executive table and to sell the safety story to the floor. This opportunity will suit an established HSE or WHS Manager, or a strong Senior HSE Advisor or Site HSE Lead who has been well mentored and is ready to step up.

Critical for consideration:

- Proven track record leading safety, wellbeing, and culture improvement within a manufacturing or operational environment.

- Hands-on industrial safety expertise, including isolation and lockout/tagout, machine guarding, risk assessments, and incident investigations (ICAM or similar).

- A visible, floor-based leadership style, coaching operators and frontline leaders to work safely and own safety outcomes.

- The judgement to operate credibly with an executive team while earning the trust of the floor.

- Experience in workers' compensation, injury management, and return-to-work.

- Formal WHS qualification (minimum Diploma in WHS or equivalent), with WHS auditing experience across ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 highly regarded.

If your background and experience reflects the critical consideration points above, please submit your CV and a brief summary detailing your interest in the role. Alternately, please call Mathew Newman from Yorkshire Bridge on 04•• ••• 228 for a confidential discussion.
