We are looking for either a 3rd or 4th year horticulture apprentice or an experienced gardener with a minimum of 2 years' practical experience. The successful applicant must be comfortable working both independently and alongside other team members across a variety of residential garden maintenance projects.
Key responsibilities
- General garden maintenance and horticultural care
- Pruning, hedging and shaping trees and shrubs
- Lawn mowing, edging and lawn maintenance
- Planting, mulching, fertilising and soil improvement
- Weed, pest and disease identification and management
- Irrigation maintenance and minor repairs
- Operating and maintaining commercial gardening equipment
- Organising and completing daily maintenance tasks efficiently
- Working independently at residential properties when required
- Maintaining excellent presentation and client service standards
About you
- A minimum of 2 years' professional gardening experience or be completing a 3rd or 4th year horticulture apprenticeship
- Positive plant knowledge and practical horticultural skills
- Confidence working independently and taking responsibility for assigned tasks
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- A current Victorian driver's licence (preferred)
