About the role

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a full-time Year 1/2/3 Classroom Teacher who is passionate about their profession and willing to join a small, collegial school community at the beginning of 2027. The successful applicant will foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning setting where every child is known, valued, and supported to flourish and experience high quality Catholic education.

Key responsibilities

- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development
- Deliver high quality teaching and learning programs that provide a balanced opportunity for inquiry and exploration as well as time for explicit teaching and differentiated curriculum that engages and challenges learners
- Develop positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Work professionally, cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a cohesive and dedicated team of educators
- Nurture positive, mature and respectful relationships with children, staff and families
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Use technology as a powerful tool for teaching and learning
- Implement best practice in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, explicit teaching and play-based learning

About you

- Holds recognised teaching qualifications and registration
- Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain)




- Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA
- A current Working with Children Check
- Demonstrate a personal witness to the Catholic faith through relationships with others
- Be a creative, flexible and enthusiastic educator with a passion for teaching and learning
- Deep understanding of contemporary pedagogy and commitment to implementing best practice in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, explicit teaching and play-based learning

About us

Sacred Heart Catholic School is a Catholic co-educational primary school that caters for approximately 50 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, with additional students enrolled in our Pre-Kindy (3-year-old) program. The school is located in Goomalling, a town with a population of approximately 550 people, 130km northeast of Perth.
