The Role

As a Lead Carpenter / Leading Hand, you will serve as the core technical and supervisory contact on site, managing site execution and quality control across:

- Specialized Partitioning: Execution of high-spec fit-outs using Criterion Partition Systems (aluminium suites, architectural glazing, and doors).

- Commercial Doors & Hardware: Installation and oversight of heavy commercial doors, frame assemblies,



and specialized architectural hardware.

- Steel Stud & Suspended Ceilings: Precision steel stud framing, seismic framing systems, structural grid networks, and specialized metal/acoustic ceiling installations.

- Architectural Finishes: Acoustic plasterboard systems, detailed feature cladding, and clean trim finishes.

- Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Leading and mentoring teams of carpenters, plasterers, and apprentices to ensure defect-free, architecturally compliant handovers.

- Safety & Compliance: Overseeing daily site safety, enforcing SWMS/ITP protocols, and managing digital safety workflows on HammerTech.

Key Requirements

- Experience & Trade Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry or Wall & Ceiling Lining with 5+ years of proven commercial carpentry experience.

- System Expertise: Proven hand-on experience with Criterion Partitioning, seismic framing, commercial doors/hardware, and architectural cladding.

- OH&S; & Safety Mindset: Uncompromising commitment to site safety, hazard identification, and strict adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.

- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with digital site platforms like HammerTech and Aconex (or quick adaptability to mobile site management apps).

- Site Clearances: White Card, EWP License, valid Driver’s License, and current National Police Check & Working with Children Check (WWCC).

- Tools & Equipment: Complete personal kit of professional commercial power tools (40V / cordless systems preferred) and reliable work transport.

- References: Strong professional references demonstrating leadership capability and high workmanship standards.
