About betr

betr is a dynamic Australian sports wagering company on a mission to revolutionise the betting experience. With a focus on modern technology and customer experience, we offer a vibrant workplace for people who love sport and take pride in doing the job properly. If you want to make an impact in a fun, collaborative environment, we want you on our team.

About the role

We're looking for a quick-thinking Live Betting Operator to join our Operations team on the Gold Coast. You'll support customers through live and in-play betting: processing bets quickly and accurately, relaying market and odds updates, and resolving betting disputes.

This is a fast-moving, time-critical role in a regulated industry, so you'll enjoy it if you stay calm under pressure, love live sport and take compliance seriously. In return, you'll get thorough training and work closely with our trading team.

What you'll do

- Process bets quickly and accurately: process and verify bet placements across all bet types, with a focus on speed and accuracy.

- Support customers during live events: respond to live and in-play betting enquiries by phone (and by chat and email when needed), providing fast, accurate support during time-sensitive markets.

- Troubleshoot betting issues: handle price changes, market updates and in-play delays, escalating complex issues to the relevant teams when necessary.

- Work with our trading team: relay betting adjustments and market updates to customers swiftly and accurately.

- Resolve betting disputes: identify and resolve disputes so customers are supported quickly and escalations are handled according to process.

- Promote responsible gambling: monitor for signs of harm, educate customers on tools such as deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion,

and escalate to our compliance and responsible gambling teams when a customer may need more support.

- Keep accurate records: document betting disputes, market issues and escalations, and work with the trading and product teams on recurring issues.

- Share customer insights: help shape our trading support strategies and live betting tools.

- Stay across new products: take part in team meetings and training to stay informed of new products, markets and procedures.

What to expect

- An office-based role in our Gold Coast office. You'll work alongside your team in person, which supports shared learning and development.

- A time-critical environment where speed and accuracy matter, particularly during major sporting events.

- A rotating roster that includes after-hours, weekends and public holidays, aligned to the sporting calendar.

- A regulated industry where you'll follow responsible gambling and compliance procedures on every shift, with full training and support to do it with confidence.

What you'll bring

- Solid attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.

- A clear, confident phone manner.

- A passion for sport and an understanding of betting markets and bet types, or a strong willingness to learn.

- A calm, solutions-focused approach to resolving disputes.

- Integrity and good judgement.

- Flexibility to work a shift roster.

What we offer

- A dynamic work environment with a supportive team.

- Training and the opportunity to grow your skills across the business.

- Weekend lunches and dinners provided.

- 5 weeks annual leave and a monthly RDO.

If you love live sport and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. Internal applicants are welcome.
