Shoalhaven Cardiology is seeking a casual Practice Nurse (RN) to join the team for an immediate start. Prior cardiac nurse experience and expertise is required.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties according to the best available evidence
- ECG recording
- Interview patients to obtain previous medical and medication history
- Maintain clinical documentation
- Explain procedures to patients, including triage duties
- Telephone patients as directed by doctors
- Maintain stocks of clinical supplies, removal of out-of-date stock and ordering supplies
- Act within the practice and nursing code of ethics and appropriate level of clinical competence at all times
About you
- Prior cardiac nurse experience and expertise required
- Strong attention to detail,
a fast learner, proactive
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Performs well in a busy environment with demonstrated ability to juggle a variety of tasks
- Positive can do attitude and highly personable with ability to build and maintain rapport
- Team player but also able to work autonomously
- Sound understanding of IT and computer skills
- Understanding of Microsoft software, Medical Director and FYDO would be an advantage
- Effective communication with medical professionals and staff
