About the role

Your main focus will be fishing sales—helping customers choose the right tackle and equipment for their needs. You'll also assist across the store with welcoming customers, offering helpful advice and building relationships including the camping department.

Key responsibilities

- Helping customers choose the right fishing tackle and equipment for their needs

- Welcoming customers, offering helpful advice and building relationships including the camping department

- Answering product enquiries in-store, by phone and by email

- Processing sales through our POS system

- Receiving stock, replenishing shelves and creating displays

- Keeping the store clean, organised and well presented

- Participating in product and staff training

About you

- A keen passion for fishing is essential

- A friendly, approachable manner and a commitment to great customer service

- A reliable work ethic, initiative and a willingness to help your teammates

- Confidence using computers and learning new systems

- The ability to stay organised in a busy retail setting

- Retail or customer service experience is an advantage

- Knowledge of fishing tackle, techniques and local fishing conditions

- Camping and outdoor knowledge,



social media skills and merchandising experience are also welcome
