About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and hands-on Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our arcade and family entertainment venue.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in staff supervision, customer complaint resolution, and shift management. You will be responsible for leading the team, managing daily operations, resolving customer issues, maintaining service standards, and ensuring the venue operates safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a confident leader who can work independently, make sound decisions, and take full responsibility for the smooth running of the venue during their shift.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily venue operations and ensure smooth running of all arcade games, attractions, and customer facilities.
- Supervise, lead, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of performance and customer service.
- Manage shift allocations, staff breaks, attendance, and operational coverage.
- Handle customer complaints, disputes, refunds, and escalated issues professionally and effectively.
- Make timely decisions to resolve operational problems and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Monitor arcade machines, ticket redemption systems, prize counters, and report equipment faults to the technical team.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS operations, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Monitor cleanliness, presentation, equipment condition, and workplace safety.
- Assist with staff training, performance management, and adherence to company policies.
- Coordinate birthday parties, group bookings, and special events as required.
- Complete shift reports, incident reports, and operational handovers to management.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures and venue policies.





Essential Requirements

Applicants must have proven experience in the following areas:

- Staff supervision: Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, and managing employees in a customer-facing business.
- Customer complaint resolution: Proven ability to handle difficult customers, resolve disputes, manage escalations, and make appropriate decisions professionally.
- Shift management: Demonstrated ability to independently manage shifts, allocate duties, coordinate staff, oversee daily operations, and take responsibility for the venue during trading hours.

Additional essential requirements:

- Minimum 3 to 4 years experience as a Duty Manager, Shift Manager, Supervisor, or in a similar operational leadership role.
- Solid leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and end-of-day or end-of-shift reconciliation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to assist with operational duties when required.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.

Desirable Experience

- Experience in an arcade, family entertainment centre, bowling centre, hospitality venue, or leisure facility.
- Familiarity with arcade card systems, prize counters, and amusement equipment.
- Experience managing birthday parties, group bookings, and special events.
- First Aid certification and RSA or willingness to obtain one.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
