Forklift Operator / Production Machine Operator – Penrith
$36.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | Immediate Start
B&R; Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator who is happy to perform production and machine operating duties to join a well-established steel manufacturing company based in Penrith.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on worker looking for ongoing work, consistent weekday hours, and full training on the company's machinery.
Key: This is a mixed role involving both forklift operation and production work. Candidates must be happy to assist with machine operating and general production duties, as forklift driving will not be the only responsibility.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
- Operating a forklift to move steel products and materials around the facility
- Loading, unloading and relocating stock as required
- Operating production machinery after training
- Assisting with manufacturing and general production duties
- Monitoring product quality and reporting any issues
- Handling materials and completing manual handling tasks
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Current and valid Forklift Licence – essential
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Manufacturing, warehouse or production experience preferred
- Willingness to operate machinery and assist with production work
- Ability to perform regular manual handling tasks
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
