Join Sauer’s Bakehouse as a Baker – Morning/Afternoon Shift

Sauer’s Bakehouse is seeking an experienced and passionate Baker to lead our morning/afternoon production team. This is more than a baking role — it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who embodies integrity, initiative, and the ability to inspire excellence in others.

The successful candidate will oversee the daily execution of high-quality artisan baking, guiding a dedicated team to ensure products meet our established standards. Your ability to lead by example, make sound decisions under pressure, and communicate clearly will set the tone for the shift and shape the day’s outcomes.

As a leader, you’ll be expected to foster a culture of mutual respect, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drawing on core leadership values, you'll not only manage tasks but influence people positively — encouraging cooperation, developing junior bakers, and maintaining a calm, solutions-focused environment even when challenges arise.

Your role is central to the morale and performance of the team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and a safe working setting.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in artisan or commercial baking (minimum 3 years), CERT III qualification preferred.
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience in a bakery or kitchen setting preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to motivate, train, and supervise a small team
- Commitment and a passion for baking excellence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
