Join Marand's growing New Business team and play a pivotal role in securing future opportunities across the defence and advanced manufacturing sectors. Reporting to the Head of Current Business, you'll support the development of winning bids, proposals and customer solutions while building your technical, commercial and business development expertise. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong communication skills with an interest in engineering, manufacturing and defence, and wants to develop a long-term career in business development and sales.

Description:
Key Responsibilities

Support the preparation and delivery of high-quality bids, tenders, proposals and customer submissions.
Collaborate with engineering, projects, commercial and sales teams to develop tailored customer solutions.
Research and identify new business opportunities within defence and advanced manufacturing markets.
Maintain and update bid libraries, proposal templates and supporting sales materials.
Track opportunities through the sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records.
Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, bid status, sales performance and forecast revenue.
Attend industry events, networking functions and trade shows to build market knowledge and relationships.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance proposal quality and sales effectiveness.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, industrial or technical environments.
Exposure to sales, business development, account management and/or bid preparation.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce professional proposals and presentations.
A genuine interest in defence,



advanced manufacturing and complex technical solutions.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn and grow within a commercial role.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach.
Proficient across Microsoft Office applications.
Able to obtain Australian Defence security clearance.
