We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team, with opportunities to learn and develop kitchen skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Dishwashing: Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including floors, benches and equipment.
- Deliveries: Receiving, checking, organising and storing stock deliveries.
- Kitchen Organisation: Keeping storage areas, fridges and workstations clean and organised.
- Food Preparation: Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Cooking Development: Gradually learning basic cooking techniques and assisting with dishes under chef supervision.
- Team Support: Assisting the kitchen team with daily operations.
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hygiene and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential.
Growth Chance: This role offers the opportunity to progress from Kitchen Hand into food preparation and eventually a cooking position through ongoing training and experience.
Pay: $26.44 – $32.25 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week

Application Question(s):
- Must be comfortable working on their feet for most of their shift, handling plates, glassware, ramekins and cutlery with care, assisting with deliveries, preparing vegetables and supporting daily kitchen duties. Must have a positive attitude, attention to detail and a willingness to gradually learn basic cooking skills.
