The Role We are seeking an experienced Email Security Engineer to support the delivery and operational uplift of enterprise email security capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on improving and securing enterprise email services through the implementation of Mimecast, optimisation of Microsoft 365 mail flow, and the safe decommissioning of legacy email security platforms. You'll play a critical role in protecting business communications, strengthening email security controls, and ensuring reliable mail delivery across complex enterprise environments. Working closely with security, infrastructure, messaging, and operations teams, you'll design and implement technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, support testing and cutovers, and transition secure services into business-as-usual operations.

Design, implement, and validate Mimecast outbound email security solutions.

Review and optimise mail routing, security controls, policies, and authentication mechanisms.

Identify and remediate gaps across malware protection, data loss prevention, impersonation protection, and URL security controls.





Troubleshoot mail flow issues across Mimecast, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and third-party platforms.

Lead activities associated with the decommissioning of legacy email security technologies, including Trend Micro.

Coordinate testing, cutover planning, rollback readiness, and post-change validation activities.

Develop technical documentation, operational runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.

Monitor solution performance and recommend ongoing improvements and tuning opportunities.

Work closely with technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and operational readiness.

What You'll Need

Demonstrated experience as an Email Security Engineer within large enterprise environments.
