The role will focus on producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documentation across our residential and construction projects. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, experienced with Archicad and capable of working independently while coordinating with consultants and our construction team.

The role will focus on producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documentation across our residential and construction projects. We are looking for someone who is technically robust, experienced with Archicad and capable of working independently while coordinating with consultants and our construction team.
Key responsibilities
Produce architectural drawings and construction documentation using Archicad, including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
Develop and maintain accurate Archicad models throughout the project lifecycle
Translate design concepts into detailed and practical construction drawings
Coordinate architectural drawings with engineering and other consultant documentation
Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies and coordination issues
Ensure documentation complies with relevant Australian building codes, standards and regulatory requirements
Prepare and update drawing schedules,
specifications and technical notes
Liaise with consultants and construction teams to clarify documentation and resolve technical queries
Maintain accurate project documentation and drawing revisions
Assist in improving drafting standards and documentation processes
What we’re looking for
Minimum
5 years’ experience
in residential or architectural drafting and construction documentation
Advanced proficiency in
Graphisoft Archicad
Robust knowledge of Australian building codes and relevant construction standards
Good understanding of residential construction methodologies and building systems
Strong technical drawing and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to coordinate architectural, structural and consultant documentation
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Building Design, Drafting or a related field
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
Experience with other relevant design and documentation software would be advantageous
What we offer This is a contract-based opportunity working from our South Melbourne office, with remuneration based on experience and capability.
You will work across a range of residential and construction projects and directly with our design, consultant and construction teams.
