Forklift Operators
to join a busy airfreight operation in Melbourne. This is a hands-on role where you'll be working with international freight and aircraft units, helping keep cargo moving safely and efficiently. If you're safety-focused, physically capable and looking for a long-term chance in the logistics industry, this could be the role for you. About the Role As a Forklift Operator, you'll play an important role in the safe and efficient movement of airfreight throughout the terminal. Your day-to-day duties will include:
Operating a forklift to unload and move aircraft units
Loading and unloading freight from trucks
Manually handling freight when required
Removing cargo nets and shrink-wrap from pallets
Moving and positioning airfreight safely throughout the terminal
Operating hoists to safely manoeuvre aircraft units
Assisting with general airfreight terminal and warehouse duties
Following all workplace health and safety procedures
Working as part of a team to ensure freight is processed efficiently and on time
Rosters & Pay
$34.95 per hour + applicable penalties
Full rotational roster - morning, afternoon and night shifts
Monday to Sunday availability may be required
Full availability across the rotational roster is essential
What We’re Looking For
Current Forklift Licence
Previous forklift operating experience
Freight, warehouse or logistics experience highly regarded
Experience with loading and unloading freight
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Fully available to work a rotational roster - essential
Able to pass a National Criminal History Check
Able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing
Willingness to obtain an ASIC
