The Role This is a new opportunity for a practitioner with between 2-8 years’ PQE to join our fast paced, growing and highly regarded Commercial Disputes & Insolvency team in Melbourne. Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will advise on a broad range of insolvency and commercial dispute matters. The work is both challenging and rewarding, and our growing team has a high-performing, inclusive and learning-oriented culture. You will gain exposure to complex and varied work, including:
• Corporate and personal insolvency matters
• Bankruptcy and liquidation disputes
• Enforcement and debt recovery proceedings
• Restructuring and insolvency-related advice
• Commercial and contractual disputes
• Shareholder and director disputes
• Court appearances and advocacy opportunities Who We Are Looking For To be successful in this role, you will have:
• 2-8 years' post admission experience
• Experience in insolvency, commercial litigation, restructuring, bankruptcy or disputes work
• Strong drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to legal advice
• The ability to manage matters with appropriate supervision and work effectively as part of a team
