About Us
Totally Workwear (TW) is Australia’s largest network of workwear specialist destinations for Trade, Safety and Uniforms. We’re 85 stores strong and growing — with a footprint that stretches across the nation and online via our leading digital platforms, all working hard for our local communities.
We’re part of the Workwear Group (WWG) and, in turn, Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety — a division of Wesfarmers, one of Australia’s top 20 ASX-listed companies. Under the Workwear Group banner, we represent iconic Australian brands including KingGee, Hard Yakka and NNT — delivering quality workwear since the 1920s.
We’re a humble, hard-working, and honest team who love our work, have a laugh along the way, and take pride in creating authentic connections with the people we serve.
About The Role
The Franchise Operations Manager is responsible for strengthening operational excellence across the Totally Workwear franchise network through the development and ownership of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) programs, operational documentation, communications and administrative frameworks.
A key focus of the role is the implementation, management and continuous improvement of the TW GRC program and the Operators Manual, the ultimate guide to running the business. This includes ensuring policies, operating procedures, governance requirements, compliance obligations, guidelines and SOPs are documented, maintained, communicated and adopted across the network.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own, implement and continuously improve the Totally Workwear Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Program, ensuring governance requirements, risk controls and compliance obligations are embedded across the franchise network.
- Develop and maintain the TW risk register, including the identification, assessment, reporting and remediation of operational, commercial, regulatory and reputational risks.
- Lead the development, review, governance and version control of the TW Operators Manual, ensuring it remains the definitive guide for operating a Totally Workwear business.
- Translate legislative, franchise agreement and operational changes into clear policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and SOPs, ensuring all documentation remains current, practical and legally compliant.
- Establish and maintain a structured document governance framework covering the Franchise Agreement, Disclosure Document, Operators Manual and associated compliance documentation.
- Partner with HWL Ebsworth, WES CSO and internal stakeholders to assess regulatory changes and implement compliant, scalable business processes across the franchise network.
- Create practical operator-facing tools, templates, checklists and training resources that simplify compliance requirements and drive consistent execution across stores.
- Manage franchise compliance audits, assessments and reporting activities, ensuring issues are identified, escalated and resolved through agreed action plans.
- Act as the primary operational and compliance support contact for Operators, providing expert guidance on governance, documentation,
risk and operational standards.
- Develop and deliver network communications relating to operational standards, governance requirements, policy updates and system-wide business process changes.
- Build and maintain platforms, processes, filing structures and administrative systems that support accurate record keeping, document control, compliance tracking and operational efficiency.
- Prepare governance reporting, board papers, committee updates and compliance insights for the Head of Totally Workwear, TW Operators Board and relevant stakeholder groups.
