Social Producer

We are looking for a Social Producer to join our talented and growing content capability in Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a dual passion for sportand social media, with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of platforms and emerging digital trends.

We would love to hire a sports-obsessed social storyteller who can spot the moment, create the content and publish it — with the editorial judgement to know what a particular fan audience wants from a particular channel at that particular moment.

Execute real-time and planned social media output across a variety of sports and clients, both during and outside of live events

Channel and community management





Briefing video and design teams

Content planning and creation

Develop and deliver long and short-term social media campaigns and initiatives

Produce short-form and longer social-first video edits

Researching and reporting for internal and external requirementsOtherwise we lose interest quickly

Content ideation and brainstorming

Requirements

The ideal background and skills we are looking for include:

Minimum 12 months’ experience in channel management and social coverage of live events

Experience working on digital content for sporting federations or media organisation is preferable

Excellent written and verbal English skills

First-class editorial judgement

Experience of using Adobe Photoshop, video clipping tools and Premiere Pro

Knowledge, understanding and experience of multiple social media platforms

In-depth knowledge of multiple sports, in particular rugby union, soccer, NBA and NFL

Detailed understanding of the digital and social media landscape, in particular how platforms are used to achieve business objectives

Experience with the following would also be beneficial:

Must be able to work weekends, as well as evenings, and be adaptable about working patterns

Ability to come up with original content ideas and spot developing trends and opportunities

Understanding and awareness of social media analytics, especially in helping to guide content strategy
