Casual Chef

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at the Old Noarlunga Hotel , a historic pub located in Adelaide's south. With its welcoming atmosphere, refreshed dining spaces and menu featuring pub favourites and seasonal dishes, the Old Noarlunga Hotel offers a relaxed setting for locals and visitors alike. The Role

Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will assist with day-to-day kitchen operations, food preparation and service in a busy pub environment. Key tasks include: Preparing and cooking meals to a high and consistent standard; Supporting lunch, dinner, functions and busy trade periods; Following recipes, portion control and presentation standards; Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen; Assisting with stock rotation, preparation lists and general kitchen duties; Working collaboratively with the front-of-house team; and Bringing a positive, practical and hands-on attitude to every shift. About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:



Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub, restaurant or fast-paced kitchen; A genuine passion for quality food and excellent hospitality; Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills; The ability to remain calm and focused during busy service periods; Knowledge of food-safety and kitchen-hygiene standards; Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including nights and weekends; and A team-first attitude, because kitchens are already chaotic enough without ego garnish.
