About the role We're looking for Disability Support Workers to support a woman in the Moss Vale, Bowral and wider Southern Highlands area. The role will initially focus on community access and everyday activities, supporting the person to participate in the community and build confidence and independence. This is a capacity-building role, rather than a traditional task-based support position. You'll be encouraged to support the person to do as much as possible for herself, providing prompting, guidance and assistance where needed. There is also an upcoming 10-14 day community living trial expected towards the end of October, where selected Support Workers may have the opportunity to provide support within a short-term accommodation setting. This may involve a range of everyday activities including meal preparation, shopping, household tasks, routines and community access. Workers selected for the trial will receive training from the treating team prior to commencement.
