Weekend Pub Security / Crowd Controller

Friday & Saturday Nights Grand Hotel Healesville

The Grand Hotel Healesville is looking for an experienced and reliable Crowd Controller to join our team for regular Friday and Saturday night shifts .

We're a country pub in a small community , so we're looking for someone who understands that good security is as much about people skills as it is crowd control .

You'll need to be friendly and approachable with our regulars, know how to read a situation, and be experienced enough to step in calmly when needed. We're not looking for a nightclub-style approach - we want someone who understands the relaxed, community feel of a country pub while still keeping our staff and patrons safe.

The role includes:

- Friday & Saturday night shifts

- Regular ongoing work

- Monitoring the bar, beer garden and surrounding areas

- Keeping an eye on patron behaviour and RSA issues

- De-escalating situations calmly before they become a problem

- Assisting staff with refusing entry or removing patrons when necessary

- Helping us maintain a safe, friendly setting for everyone

About you:

- Current Victorian Crowd Controller licence

- Experienced in pub, bar or hospitality security

- Reliable and punctual

- Confident without being confrontational

- Friendly, approachable and able to have a laugh

- Good judgement and strong communication skills

- Someone who understands country pub culture and a close-knit community

We're Tom & Lisa , local owners of the Grand Hotel Healesville. We're hands-on in the business and genuinely care about our staff and the people who walk through our doors.

We're looking for someone who will become part of our team - not just someone standing at the door.

If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
