Intermediate Accountant - Business Advisory

This is a boutique, growing accounting firm based in Parramatta, offering a high-quality mix of compliance and advisory services to a well-established client base. You’ll be joining as an Intermediate Accountant, supporting the management of a client portfolio while working closely with Senior Accountants and Managers on more complex matters. The role provides a strong foundation across compliance, with increasing exposure to advisory, client interaction, and technical development as you progress, with a major upside being you will be proactively brought to client meetings from day 1 to help with development. This position is designed as a genuine progression opportunity, with a clear pathway to Senior Accountant within 6–18 months depending on experience and performance. The structure of the firm allows junior and intermediate staff to be mentored closely, while gradually building capability in advisory, planning, and client-facing work. It’s also worth mentioning that this isn’t a traditional, old-school accounting firm. The Partners are young, energetic and run a modern, cloud-based practice.

About you:

Degree-qualified in Accounting, currently studying or intending to commence CA/CPA

2–4+ years’ experience in Business Services / Tax within Public Practice

Strong attention to detail with solid technical foundations

Eagerness to learn and develop into a client-facing advisor

Good communication skills and ability to work within a team setting

Exposure to Xero or other cloud-based accounting software preferred

This role is well suited to an Intermediate Accountant looking to step up into a more progressive firm, with strong mentorship, structured development, and a clear pathway into a Senior position.
