Position Information
Leumeah High School is a comprehensive coeducational high school located on Dharawal Country in South Western Sydney. The school community demonstrates deep respect for the traditional custodians of the land where students and staff live, learn, and work. With an enrolment of 710 students, approximately 45% come from a language background other than English, and an additional 9% identify as First Nations students.
The school includes a Support Unit called Bundalong, which currently comprises three Autism Spectrum classes, with a fourth Multi-categorical class in 2026. Leumeah High School offers a broad and future‑focused academic curriculum, centred on innovative teaching and learning practices. As an Apple Distinguished School, all students are provided with iPads, enabling access to cutting‑edge digital programs that enhance their learning experience.
Faculty teams at Leumeah High School actively implement innovative pedagogy to empower each student to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
This is supported by highly dedicated staff who foster a collaborative learning setting extending beyond the classroom. The school’s commitment to improving student outcomes is demonstrated through quality, evaluative teaching practices, staff collaboration, and ongoing professional reflection, underpinned by data‑informed practices that guide targeted interventions and measure progress effectively.
Recognised for its outstanding pastoral care and wellbeing programs, Leumeah High excels in social and emotional learning initiatives. Student leadership is nurtured through an active Student Representative Council and Aboriginal Representative Council, with additional opportunities in arts, sports, and school service.
