A commercial management post covering the employer's infrastructure services business across Victoria and Tasmania, working alongside senior operational and commercial leaders rather than on a single project.

The posting sets out the brief as leading commercial strategy and performance for that business, partnering with operational and finance leaders on planning, forecasting, contract delivery and commercial decision making, and identifying and mitigating commercial risk across contract, cost and compliance matters.

Support for negotiations, claims, variations and contract administration is expressly named, as is the review of tender and contract documentation to identify commercial risk and chance, the management of subcontractor and supplier commercial arrangements, and the provision of expert guidance on contract administration, claims and commercial governance.

The employer asks for significant commercial management experience in infrastructure,

civil construction, utilities or a related services environment, a strong working knowledge of contract management, risk, cost control and commercial governance, and a tertiary qualification in commerce, law, engineering, quantity surveying or a related field. Full time. Requisition R26620.
