John Barnes & Co (QLD) Pty Ltd,a leader in the field of locksmithing and door hardware supply, are looking to employ a dynamic person to join our Accounts team based in Salisbury QLD as an Accounts Payable/ Receivable Clerk.

About the Role We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payments

Review accounts payable and ensure invoices are accurately coded and approved

Issue monthly customer statements

Allocate and reconcile customer payments

Follow up outstanding accounts and assist with debt collection

Maintain accurate financial records and filing

Respond to supplier and customer account enquiries

Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required

Reception backup

About You

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in an accounts payable / accounts receivable role preferable

Robust attention to detail and a high level of accuracy





Good numerical and analytical skills

Good communication, telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Entry level Microsoft Excel skills

Experience with accounting software such as MYOB preferable

A proactive approach and willingness to learn

Reliable, professional, punctual and maintain a positive attitude.
