Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time) | Greencross Wellington Road & Mount Barker | Adelaide Hills, SA

Looking for a role where you'll work with a genuinely supportive team, enjoy variety in your week, and be part of an exciting period of growth?

Greencross Wellington Road is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis, working a minimum of 3 days per week (approximately 24+ hours per week) across both Greencross Wellington Road and our recently opened Greencross Mount Barker clinic.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working across multiple clinic environments, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and utilising their nursing skills every day.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

Greencross Wellington Road and Greencross Mount Barker operate as one close-knit team under the leadership of the same Practice Manager. While you'll work across both locations, you'll be supported by a collaborative group of veterinarians and nurses who regularly work together, share knowledge, and genuinely enjoy helping one another succeed.

Our team has grown so much that we opened a second purpose-built clinic on 12 September 2026. While Greencross Wellington Road continues to operate from its long-standing Mount Barker location, the opening of Greencross Mount Barker in Totness has allowed us to expand our services, support more pets and clients throughout the Adelaide Hills, and create exciting opportunities for our team.

When you work across both clinics, you'll see plenty of familiar faces, with team members regularly supporting both locations. Rather than feeling like two separate clinics,

we operate as one connected team with a shared commitment to exceptional patient care and client service.

Working across both clinics, you'll enjoy:

- Being part of two connected and supportive teams that operate as one
- Consistent leadership, support, and mentorship across both locations
- The opportunity to work within a brand-new purpose-built clinic alongside our established Wellington Road practice
- A varied caseload across medicine, surgery, dentistry, pathology, and preventative care
- A team-oriented environment where learning and teamwork are genuinely valued
- Ongoing opportunities for professional development and career growth
- A workplace that prioritises both high-quality patient care and work-life balance

Our Wellington Road clinic is equipped with:

- Multi-parameter monitoring
- In-house pathology analysers
- Dedicated surgery suite
- Treatment and hospitalisation areas

About the Role

As an integral member of our nursing team, you'll be involved in all aspects of patient care and clinic operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Undertaking general nursing duties, including pre- and post-operative care
- Supporting medical, surgical, pathology, and hospital patients
- Assisting with emergency and critical care cases when required
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery

- Assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures
- Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
- Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email, and over the phone
- Supporting reception and administrative duties when required
- Working collaboratively across both clinic locations to deliver exceptional patient care

No two days are ever quite the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and a busy clinical environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Has 2+ years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
- Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills
- Is confident across both medical and surgical nursing duties
- Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Brings a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Has experience using RxWorks (preferred but not essential)

Most importantly, we're looking for a motivated nurse who is passionate about patient care and interested in continuing to develop their skills within a supportive team environment.

Why Join Greencross?

As part of Australia's leading veterinary care network, you'll have access to a range of benefits and professional development opportunities, including:

- Ongoing continuing education and professional development
- Access to LinkedIn Learning, VetWebinars, and other learning platforms
