About the Opportunity

As the Mental Health Administration Officer , you will be the first point of contact for patients, families, carers and visitors to the Mental Health Unit, Recovery Unit or Older Persons Mental Health Unit. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the mental health services, providing high-quality administrative support that contributes to safe, respectful and effective patient care.

As the Mental Health Administration Officer, you will be responsible for:

- Providing professional and compassionate customer service to consumers, staff and visitors, both face-to-face and over the phone
- Supporting the daily operations of the unit through a range of administrative tasks including admissions, transfers, discharges, record management and appointment bookings
- Maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy legislation and health records requirements
- Supporting security processes including visitor management, swipe card/key tracking and duress alarm checks
