About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Store Manager / Tailor to oversee the daily operations of our busy alterations studio at Westfield Carindale.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing the daily operations of the alterations store
- Providing exceptional customer service and consultation for clothing alterations
- Measuring, fitting, and advising customers on alterations for a wide range of garments including dresses, suits, bridal wear and casual clothing
- Performing high-quality tailoring and alterations including hemming, resizing, restyling and repairs
- Managing garment workflow and ensuring timely completion of alterations
- Supervising staff and coordinating team workloads
- Maintaining quality control standards for all garments
- Handling customer enquiries, bookings and fittings
- Processing orders through the POS system and managing customer records
- Managing store presentation and organisation of garments




- Liaising with management regarding store performance and operational needs

Skills and Experience

- Proven experience in tailoring, garment alterations or dressmaking
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience managing a retail or service-based environment preferred
- Ability to perform precise garment fittings and alterations
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple garments at once
- Reliable, organised and able to lead a small team
