- Remuneration package valued at up to $156,253.00. Base salary ranges from $90,177.00 to $137,861.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information : Finigan School of Distance Education (FSDE) is a purpose-built K-12 distance education school located in Queanbeyan NSW. The school has 83 full-time equivalent teaching staff and over 800 enrolments. The school has been specifically designed to meet the needs of distance education students and teachers. The school has 20 web lesson studios and 2 video production studios. Each teacher is equipped with a Microsoft Surface Pro for the delivery of live lessons and the digital annotation of student work. Teachers deliver live web lessons for each course each week, supported by independent online learning and personalised digital feedback. The school has a learning hub located in south-eastern NSW where students can access face-to-face teacher support. Residential schools operate at regular intervals throughout the year. Teachers also conduct field visits to provide face-to-face support for students.
FSDE is an equity provision for many students. We provide quality individualised learning programs for students who meet the criteria of one or more of the distance education enrolment categories. These include geographical isolation, students travelling within Australia or overseas,
medical conditions that prevent attendance at a face-to-face school, vocationally talented students and students with additional learning and support needs, including those with disability and students in extraordinary circumstances. FSDE also provides single course curriculum access for students attending face-to-face schools.
FSDE teachers are learning experience designers. They are committed to the provision of high quality, personalised learning experiences for every student through the cutting-edge and flexible use of technology.
The successful applicant will be required to work from the Finigan School of Distance Education site located at 77 Agnes Avenue, Queanbeyan, NSW.
- Selection Criteria : Approval to teach Biology and willing to teach Chemistry and Years 7 - 10 Science.
Demonstrated capacity to use a broad range of digital technologies in an educational setting to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences to support diverse student learning needs
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build and support positive relationships and work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
