Position Summary
Key
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and lodge individual and business tax returns
- Lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)
- Assist clients with taxation compliance and ATO obligations
- Review financial records and prepare taxation documentation
- Manage general ledger entries and reconcile bank statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Assist with bookkeeping, GST and payroll-related matters
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with ATO requirements
- Liaise with clients and government bodies as required
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in Australia or overseas
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or other accounting software
- Understanding of Australian taxation laws, GST and payroll obligations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional membership (CPA, IPA or CA) desirable but not essential
