A private hospital in Newcastle is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join the Rehabilitation Ward. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide advanced clinical care and leadership within the Rehab Ward. The CNS supports staff development through bedside teaching, coaching, and role modelling. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in promoting best practice, mentoring nursing staff, and contributing to positive patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care;
- Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing teams;
- Acting as a resource and mentor for junior staff;
- Supporting quality improvement and accreditation activities;
- Promoting evidence-based practice and continuous learning;
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Vast experience in Rehab or Med-Surgical Nursing;
- Authority to Work in Australia;
- Valid NSW Working with Children check;
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in intensive care nursing;
- Excellent communication, leadership,



and interpersonal skills;
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service excellence;
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary workplace.

REMUNERATION

A salary ranging from $58.83 - $65.27 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. A cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite, including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery, is available for families in the Newcastle region. The facility provides specialty care for individuals and their families undergoing cancer treatment and care with an inpatient unit and a day infusion lounge.
