The Organisation /n Working within a business with international operations brings a different level of exposure, particularly when it comes to financial transactions, reporting requirements and the movement of funds across multiple entities. /n This Brisbane based organisation offers the opportunity to gain that experience within a cooperative finance team, where you'll be involved in a variety of accounting activities and have the support of experienced colleagues. /n For an Accountant looking to move beyond a predominantly transactional position, this is an opportunity to build stronger technical foundations and take on greater responsibility as your experience develops. The Role /n Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll be involved in the day-to-day accounting activities of the business, with exposure to month end reporting, financial reconciliations, cash management and compliance. /n The position is particularly suited to someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working across different accounting functions and wants to continue building their technical capability. /n Your responsibilities will include: /n /n
- Assisting with month end close, general ledger maintenance and journal entries /n
- Preparing and reviewing bank, supplier and intercompany reconciliations /n
- Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring transactions are processed accurately /n
- Monitoring cash balances and assisting with payments and cash management /n
- Supporting payroll accounting and associated reconciliations /n
- Assisting with BAS preparation and other statutory compliance obligations /n
- Preparing supporting schedules and financial information for year-end and audit requirements /n
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving accounting queries /n




- Maintaining accurate accounting records and supporting financial controls /n
- Working with the wider finance team to identify opportunities for process improvements /n /n About you /n You'll have developed a good understanding of core accounting processes and be looking for a role that offers greater variety, responsibility and exposure to a more complex business environment. /n We're particularly interested in candidates who are proactive, detail oriented and enjoy being involved in different aspects of the finance function. /n Ideally, you'll bring: /n /n
- At least three years' experience in an Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar position /n
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline /n
- Progress towards CA/CPA qualification, or the intention to commence /n
- Sound knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month-end processes /n
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to pick up current accounting systems /n
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail /n
- A willingness to take ownership of tasks and develop your accounting knowledge /n
- Robust communication skills and a cooperative approach to working with others /n /n Experience working across multiple entities or within an internationally connected business would be advantageous, although not essential. On Offer /n /n
