Job Description
Join the Advice Technology team at a leading financial services organisation, building the software that powers its financial advice platform. You'll work in the Advice Automation squad, developing full-stack features with Java on the back end and Angular on the front end./n /n The focus is on user-friendly, reliable applications for advisers and their clients. You'll work in an Agile team across recent feature delivery, BAU enhancements and continuous improvement./n /n

Key responsibilities
/n /n
- Design, build and test back-end services and APIs in Java /n
- Develop responsive, user-friendly front-end features in Angular /n
- Deliver significant technical enhancements from design and analysis through to release /n
- Write unit and automated tests to keep code quality high /n
- Carry out root cause analysis and resolve production issues /n
- Contribute to discovery sessions, stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies /n
- Follow and help improve team standards,



practices and code reviews /n Skills and experience Essential/n /n /n
- Strong commercial experience building back-end applications in Java /n
- Strong commercial experience building single-page applications in Angular /n
- Solid grasp of object-oriented principles and full-stack development /n
- Experience with unit testing, test automation and CI/CD pipelines /n
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams /n
- Clear communication and a collaborative, quality-first approach /n Desirable/n /n /n
- Experience in financial services, wealth or advice platforms /n
- Relational database experience (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) /n
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience /n
