This is an opportunity for a senior civil engineering professional to take ownership of technical oversight, construction verification and engineering certification across a complex infrastructure project involving bulk earthworks, rail formation, reinforced concrete bridges and box culverts. Working closely with the Construction Manager, Project Manager and site delivery teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring construction activities meet engineering specifications, Australian Standards, quality requirements and statutory obligations. We are particularly interested in engineers based in Mackay or Rockhampton who have extensive experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects and can regularly travel to Moranbah.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide RPEQ engineering oversight, technical verification and certification of civil construction works.
- Review and approve construction methodologies, engineering documentation, designs and technical submissions within your area of authority.
- Oversee bulk earthworks, rail formation, pavement layers, reinforced concrete bridges and box culvert construction.
- Review construction activities involving piling, foundations, bridge abutments, piers, reinforcement, formwork and concrete placement.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, engineering specifications, Australian Standards and project quality requirements.




- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), work packs, quality documentation and construction records.
- Support inspections, hold points, engineering sign offs and construction verification.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, nonconformances and construction or design interface challenges.
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors, engineers, contractors and project delivery teams.
