Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking for a genuine challenge where you’re given real autonomy and accountability for commercial outcomes?/n /n /n This is an opportunity to join a leading Tier 2 civil infrastructure contractor where you’ll have genuine ownership across project delivery, with a strong focus on the commercial side of construction. /n /n /nYou’ll be trusted to identify and manage variations, control costs, manage subcontractors and drive project outcomes — rather than simply being responsible for the engineering./n /n /nThe role offers the best of both worlds — predominantly office-based project delivery with regular site visits, giving you the opportunity to stay connected to what's happening on the ground without being tied to site every day./n /n /n This is not a purely site-based engineering position. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in the commercial side of project delivery, including variations, cost management, subcontractor administration and contractual matters./n /n

Key Responsibilities
/n /n
- Assist with the end-to-end delivery of civil infrastructure projects /n
- Manage project engineering, documentation and technical requirements /n
- Work closely with Project Managers to monitor programme, cost and project performance /n
- Identify, prepare and negotiate variations and scope changes /n
- Assist with cost forecasting, progress claims and commercial reporting /n




- Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and contractual administration /n
- Review contracts, scopes, drawings and specifications /n
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and potential project impacts /n
- Manage RFIs, technical queries and consultant/client correspondence /n
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders /n
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting /n
- Support project close-out, final accounts and commercial reconciliation /n About You We're looking for a Project Engineer with a commercial mindset who understands that successful project delivery is about more than just the technical side./n /n You'll ideally have:/n /n /n
- Civil Engineering qualifications /n
- Previous experience within civil construction/infrastructure /n
- Experience working in a Project Engineer capacity /n
- Solid understanding of project delivery and construction methodologies /n
- Demonstrated experience with variations, cost management and commercial administration /n
