Location:
Bayswater Power Station, Muswellbrook, NSW (open to relocation assistance). Employment Type: Full-time Permanent (Hybrid). AGL is hiring a skilled Process Safety Manager for a hands-on, site-based/hybrid role. Our ideal candidate could have experience in power generation, heavy industry, or gas. You/'ll help develop and implement the Process Safety Management Plan, ensure compliance with best practices, work with operators, run meetings, and present safety metrics to leadership. What We/'re Looking For
- A Senior Engineer or Engineering Manager with strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
- Someone who can confidently engage with operators and technicians and present to executives.
- A qualified with technical expertise and a desire to grow in process safety.
- A proactive person who can run meetings, coach others, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the governance and execution of the Process Safety Management Plan.
- Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities and SAP administration.
- Conduct incident investigations, alarm management reviews, and provide functional safety oversight.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety-critical controls are integrated into asset plans.
- Conduct HAZOPs and CHAZOPs for new plant and processes.




- Stay informed on industry advancements and apply best practices.
- Deliver in-house training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance. Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in utilities, power generation, or large-scale process plants or heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas.
- An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with SAP, MyHSE, and other technical systems is desirable. Benefits
