Powder Coating Production Manager | Perth Based | Relocation Support Run the floor. Own the numbers. Build it from day one. We are opening a new 2,500 square metre powder coating facility in Welshpool, Perth, as part of the continued expansion of ASC Blasting & Coating. Reporting to the owner, you will be hands on from day one, setting up the site, building the team, and owning quoting, client contact and delivery. Based in Perth, Western Australia: a fixed site role, home every night. Relocation support available for the right interstate candidate.

What You'll Do
Own the Commercial Side Set the price and win the work: quote every coating and fabrication job through Steelhead Be the face of the business for every client, from first enquiry to delivered job Build the relationships that grow repeat business with fabricators and industrial customers Running the Floor Plan and control production to meet priorities, customer deadlines and output targets Coordinate workflow from preparation and loading through powder application, curing, quality checks and handover Allocate labour, manage priorities and remove bottlenecks Monitor capacity, downtime and job progress Building the Team Lead, coach and hold the production team accountable Manage rosters, staffing and workforce planning as the team grows Support onboarding, training and skills development Drive a safety first culture, including housekeeping, safe work practices and toolbox communication Work closely with the Operations Manager to coordinate maintenance while keeping production on track Quality Control Maintain consistent powder coating quality against customer requirements Control process settings, curing, colour changeovers,



material use and quality checks Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions Own key KPIs including output, on time delivery, labour efficiency, downtime, rework and material waste What You'll Bring Three or more years of experience leading production in powder coating, sandblasting, and industrial coatings Strong commercial experience in quoting and pricing with the confidence to manage client relationships directly A solid understanding of production planning, workflow and labour allocation Practical knowledge of powder coating processes, quality control and the common causes of defects and rework A proven record of leading and developing a production team A strong safety mindset and confidence on the workshop floor Hands on, calm under pressure and quick to solve problems Commissioning or setup experience is a strong advantage, not a requirement Relevant trade, manufacturing or technical qualifications are an advantage Why Join Us A Salary package of $150,000 to $190,000 plus super, including a KPI bonus of up to $40,000 Genuine autonomy: you set the price, own the client relationship and run the floor, this isn't a role where someone else makes the calls You’ll set the standards this site runs on, not inherit someone else's Relocation support for the right interstate candidate, including moving costs and assistance with finding accommodation A fixed site role in Perth, home every night A direct line to the owner and real authority over how the site runs A route to Operations Manager as the site matures, and to a national role as further facilities open An established Perth business behind you with existing operations, systems and support Perth-based role.
