About Our School

Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80kms west of Brisbane. The College opened in January 2021 and continues to grow enrolling a new cohort of students each year.

Summary

Sophia College is seeking a passionate Secondary English Teacher on a 12 month full-time fixed-term contract commencing January 2027. This position is for Junior and Senior English Teacher (ability to teach Religious Education would is desirable, but not essential).

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and engaging Secondary English teacher to join our learning community to cover maternity leave, teaching students from Years 7-12. You will inspire a love of language, literature and critical thinking through purposeful, contemporary learning experiences that support students to grow in confidence and achieve their best.
