Workshop Controller

In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the efficient flow and control of all express workshop repairs, coordinating people, processes, and priorities to ensure every customer request is completed accurately and on time. You will play a key role in upholding Motorama’s reputation for excellence and supporting both our customers and our technical team.

About the Role As the Workshop Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Scheduling and coordinating daily workshop jobs to ensure productive workflow

Accurately estimating job times and determining start times to meet customer expectations

Allocating repair orders to suitably skilled Technicians based on experience and scope of work

Organising and authorising sublet repairs,



ensuring correct order number usage

Authorising and approving parts on repair orders as required

Ensuring all customer requests are correctly recorded and completed

Monitoring productivity, quality, and turnaround times

Facilitating weekly toolbox meetings to support communication, safety, and performance

Essential Attributes

A proactive can‑do attitude with excellent problem‑solving skills

Strong customer service skills, including face‑to‑face, written, and phone communication

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Proven experience in the automotive industry (workshop or service setting preferred)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast‑paced setting
