JUMBO Consulting Group A/S

Melbourne

Are you an experienced procurement and contracts management professional looking to shape the future of renewable energy in Australia?

Join JUMBO Consulting Group as we expand our presence across Australia and build our procurement, commercial and contracts management capabilities in-country.

We invite you to join our expanding team in the Australia. In this position, you will initially support a leading global infrastructure investor and developer with procurement and contracts management across their onshore renewables portfolio. However, this is much more than a single client assignment – we're looking for someone to help us establish a strong foundation in the Australia and, over time, play a key role in the continued growth, development and success of JUMBO.

About JUMBO Consulting Group

JUMBO Consulting Group is a specialist consultancy within the Turner & Townsend group, focused on providing strategic supply chain development, procurement and contracts management advisory to leading investors and developers of renewable energy and infrastructure projects worldwide.

Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, JUMBO has 11 global offices supporting clients developing, building and operating projects across North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. Through our connection with Turner & Townsend, we have access to a global network while maintaining our specialist focus on complex, transformational energy and infrastructure projects.

Although offshore wind in Australia has faced headwinds, we continue to see significant opportunity across other technologies including onshore wind, BESS, solar PV, grid and transmission, and emerging sectors such as Power-to-X and nuclear SMR.

This role is central to building our capabilities to serve these markets.

The Opportunity

We have an immediate prospect to support a key client with procurement and contracts management across their onshore renewables portfolio in Australia. JUMBO already works with this customer on a global basis, providing procurement and contracts management services for their offshore wind portfolio in Europe, US, Australia, Taiwan, Philippines, and South Korea.

Initial Focus – Onshore Wind (Melbourne)

The role will initially focus on the client’s onshore wind portfolio, which is primarily located in Melbourne. You will be responsible for managing procurement and contracts across key project areas, with particular emphasis on:

- Turbine Supply – sourcing of WTGs and negotiation of Turbine Supply Agreements (TSAs)
- Balance of Plant (BOP) – including civil, electrical and grid connection scopes
- Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) – long-term service agreements

Expanding Scope

The role will expand to support the wider portfolio of BESS, utility-scale solar PV, and new onshore wind developments throughout Australia.

Long-Term Growth

Although the role will initially be a hands-on position, we see this as an excellent platform to build from:

- Building out our in-country capability in Australia

- Expanding our relationship with a key global client
- Building a team that can develop, grow, and support other existing and future clients
- This is a long-term opportunity with significant growth and development runway.

- Maximize value in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing risk
- Actively participate in vendor relationship management and market intelligence
