The Opportunity
The Digital Strategist helps Adobe's customers translate ambitious customer-experience and digital-transformation objectives into practical strategies that create measurable business value. Operating as a senior individual contributor within Professional Services, the role works directly with customer executives and cross-functional Adobe teams to understand business priorities, identify high-value opportunities, shape transformation initiatives and connect Adobe capabilities to customer outcomes. The role bridges strategy and execution. It does not replace delivery, account management or Sales accountability. Instead, it creates clarity around what outcomes matter, where value exists, what should be prioritised and how Adobe can help the customer realise that value.
What You'll Own
Lead strategic customer engagements from problem definition through recommendation, value case and actionable roadmap. Establish a clear understanding of customer business objectives, constraints, transformation priorities and measures of success. Diagnose opportunities using customer insight, industry context, data, journey analysis, organisational assessment and Adobe expertise. Develop clear strategic recommendations, business cases and prioritised initiatives based on customer value and execution feasibility. Shape value‑realisation approaches that connect Adobe technology adoption to measurable customer outcomes. Build trusted executive relationships through credible advice, sound judgement and the ability to simplify complex issues. Create high‑quality strategic outputs that customers can use to make decisions and mobilise action. Engage senior customer stakeholders to clarify desired business outcomes and create alignment around priorities.
Challenge customer assumptions constructively where strategy, organisational readiness or execution plans are unlikely to deliver the intended outcome. Translate technology capabilities into business implications rather than leading with product functionality. Identify adoption, operating‑model, capability or organisational barriers that could prevent value realisation. Help customers establish meaningful measures of progress and value. Remain engaged at appropriate points through execution to validate that strategic intent is translating into business outcomes. Help restore clarity and executive confidence where strategic programmes are under pressure or customer value is at risk.
Growth & Commercial Influence
Identify unmet customer needs and opportunities where Adobe capabilities or Qualified Services can create additional value. Shape strategic opportunities with Sales, Services Sales and account teams so customer demand is grounded in a genuine business problem and credible value case. Influence Services pipeline, expansion and broader Adobe growth through strategic customer engagement. Contribute to renewal and retention outcomes by helping customers demonstrate realised and prospective value from their Adobe investment. Balance commercial opportunity with customer trust; recommendations must be driven by customer outcomes rather than short‑term product or Services sales.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
Orchestrate the right Adobe expertise across Professional Services, Sales, Customer Success, Product and other functions to address complex customer priorities. Create clarity on the strategic problem, intended outcome and respective roles of participating teams. Connect strategy with downstream delivery so recommendations are actionable rather than theoretical. Surface dependencies, risks and organisational barriers early and engage the right leaders to resolve them. Influence without relying on formal authority.
Practice & Capability
Contribute reusable approaches, frameworks, insights and lessons from customer engagements to strengthen Digital Strategy capability across ANZ. Help evolve how Professional Services demonstrates and communicates customer value. Bring emerging practices, including AI‑enabled transformation where relevant, into customer strategy conversations in a practical and credible way. Coach colleagues informally through strategic engagements and contribute expertise across the wider Professional Services organisation.
What Success Looks Like
Success in the role is demonstrated when: Customers have greater clarity on the business outcomes they are trying to achieve and the priorities required to achieve them. Strategic engagements result in actionable recommendations, investment decisions or transformation initiatives. Customer executives view Adobe as a credible strategic partner, not simply a technology vendor. Adobe adoption is increasingly connected to measurable customer value. Strategic engagement creates or materially advances appropriate Services and Adobe growth opportunities. Customer value work contributes positively to retention, renewal or expansion disc
