San Sisto College, Carina is seeking a passionate Secondary Teacher of English, Humanities and Religious Education (Years 7-12) to join its supportive learning community for a maternity leave contract. Inspire and engage students while fostering a love of learning across these key curriculum areas.

- Location: San Sisto College - Carina
- Contract date: Commencing January 2027 - Until end of 2027 School Year
- Work hours: 30.00 per week
- Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + 12.75% Super (commensurate with experience)
- Status: Full Time Fixed Term (Maternity Leave)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

- Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
- Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
- Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
- Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
