Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer – Projects, Innovation & R&D; Work on projects that matter. Develop new ideas. Help shape the future of water. Tessele Consultants is continuing to grow, and we’re looking for an experienced, technically strong and hands-on Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Perth or Brisbane. This is an chance to work across consulting, applied R&D; and technology development, tackling complex water, wastewater, resource recovery and circular economy challenges. You’ll work alongside an experienced team on projects ranging from feasibility and process design through to pilot trials, technology evaluation, implementation and optimisation — with the opportunity to see ideas move from research into real-world application. What You’ll Be Doing
• Working across water and wastewater treatment projects, from feasibility and concept development through to design, implementation and optimisation.
• Contributing to projects involving industrial wastewater, water recycling, resource recovery, biogas, anaerobic digestion and circular economy technologies.
• Playing an active role in our R&D; and innovation programs, including pilot trials, technology evaluation, experimental design, data interpretation and scale-up.
• Working with our BRAVA Bio Resource Valorisation Hub, research organisations, technology providers and industry partners on emerging technologies.
• Undertaking process modelling, engineering calculations, data analysis and technical assessments.
• Translating research and technical findings into practical engineering applications.




• Visiting operating facilities and working directly with clients to understand and solve real-world problems.
• Preparing high-quality technical reports, proposals, designs and recommendations.
• Collaborating closely with our engineers, senior consultants and industry partners across Australia. What We’re Looking For
• A degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or Process Engineering.
• Approximately 8–10 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater or process engineering, within industrial and/or municipal applications.
• Strong technical fundamentals in areas such as wastewater treatment, process design, biological treatment, water reuse or biogas systems.
• An interest in R&D;, emerging technologies and taking ideas from concept through to practical application.
• A practical, curious and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• The confidence to work independently while contributing strongly within a small, team-oriented team.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• A willingness to travel to project sites when required. Experience with BioWin, process simulation, hydraulic modelling, anaerobic digestion,



pilot-scale systems or water recycling would be highly regarded. Why Tessele? We’re growing.
