We’re seeking hands-on Trade Assistants to join a well-established Western Australian engineering business specialising in industrial lining and protective coating solutions.
Based primarily at Naval Base workshop, you’ll work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain practical exposure to ceramic lining, rubber lining, protective coatings and general industrial work.There will also be opportunities and a requirement to attend shutdowns as needed.

About the role
- Assist tradespeople with ceramic lining, rubber lining and protective coating work.
- Support general workshop activities and preparation tasks.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
- Attend client sites and shutdowns when required, including travel away from home.
- Develop your technical skills through hands-on training and on-the-job experience.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as an Industrial Trade Assistant or in a workshop environment.
- A willingness to learn ceramic and rubber lining techniques.
- A background in mining, engineering, manufacturing or heavy industry will be highly regarded.
- Positive mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude and attention to detail.
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
- Flexibility to travel and work away for shutdowns when required.
