About the role

David Habermann and Co is seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. Based in Bundaberg, QLD, this role offers the flexibility of part time work whilst contributing meaningfully to our accounting and taxation services. As an Accountant, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial and taxation solutions to our valued clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records and accounts for clients

- Assisting with taxation compliance, including the preparation of tax returns and documentation

- Reconciling accounts and bank statements to ensure financial accuracy

- Providing general accounting support to clients across various industries

- Liaising with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation

- Assisting with bookkeeping and general ledger management

- Supporting the audit and review of client financial statements

- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and taxation regulations

What we're looking for

- A recognised accounting qualification (such as CPA, CAANZ or equivalent)

- Demonstrated experience in accounting and taxation within a professional accounting environment

- Strong knowledge of taxation principles and compliance requirements

- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues





- The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity

- A commitment to professional development and staying current with taxation and accounting changes
